To the web site of The Memphis Rockers - one of the hottest 50`s style trios in the UK.

The Rockers play a mixture of authentic Rockabilly, Hillbilly Boogie, Western Swing and good ole Rock ‘n' Roll. In other words, great rockin` music - just like it was in 1956.

Typical of the band's passion for 50`s American roots music is the fact that they play without drums. The Rocker's beating heart is the rhythmic slap from the stand-up “Dawghouse” bass. They have rapidly gained respect and acclaim from audiences in pubs and clubs across the South West for their authentic sound and great musicianship, since they kicked into gear on the live music scene in early 2006.

In a short space of time, they have have landed some cool bookings, playing several weekenders and specials. While initially aiming to take the ‘50s vibe into pubs and bars, rockin` clubs have been queuing up to have the band play for them.

With their new album entitled Memphis Boogie getting rave reviews ( of which BBC`s Geoff Barker said "one of the best CD`s from a British band I have heard in a long long time) and extended air play on British radio, there is a growing buzz among those in the know , that things can only get bigger and better for this talented trio.

Now we invite you to delve a little deeper into the world of Devon's own rockin' fools.
